It Tracks Straight and Steers Like New. We push a forty-five thousand, plus, pound Country Coach Magna, Class A, down the road, and it was tracking like a bird dog flushing out quail. The steering wheel was permanently canted ten degrees to the left when parked, and it had another ten degrees, both port and starboard, of free-play in it, while driving. All-in-all driving it, was getting to be a white-knuckle experience. We are full-time RV'ers. So, I was very aware of the issues with the steering and the tracking. I had made several past attempts to have the problems corrected. But, no one that I talked to, anywhere we happened to be, either instilled any confidence in me that they knew what they were doing, or had the time, or the staff to make the repairs. Finding anyone to do anything on a Class A coach is a challenge. There are only couple of RV service centers that I trust, and we crossed the country from Florida to Eugene, Oregon last summer to have some work done at one of them. Even as good as they were at virtually everything else on on our coach, they were not equipped at doing any of the steering and suspension work that I required. But, they made a rock solid recommendation, Henderson's Line-Up. Quality service is in demand. It is also in limited supply. The very first time spot that Henderson had for my repairs was 27 days after my call for help to them. So we changed plans. We waited for our scheduled day, and the wait was worth the effort. Over those 27 days, Henderson's initiated correspondence with me that indicated that they were on top of any and all problems that I might have had. Based on that interchange, on arrival Bryce presented me with a written estimate detailing the exact nature and cost of the parts and repairs that they anticipated making. Parts had been preordered a tech was assigned and everything else was ready to go. The entire Henderson's staff was courteous. The facility was spotless. We were offered the use of a comfortable waiting room during the day. Overnight parking with 30 amp power was available to us at night. While the coach was in service, there was a constant dialog with Bryce, our service tech, Matt and ourselves as to the progress of the repairs. Post repair, our coach now drives like it is on rails. The steering is crisp and the wheel alignment is as perfect, as it can be. The was a minor up-sale by Henderson's, of a steering damper. But, it was a no brainer improvement, and I gladly authorized it. So then, new steering components, tag and an all other wheels alignment, a massive steering damper, and at the end of service, the total cost of repairs, for everything, was below the original estimate. Henderson's did exactly what they needed to do. They did it under time and under budget. The best part is that we have now passed over, 250 miles of two-lane State highway, with like new steering and tracking. How great is that!
