How To Identify Your Chassis

Our products are designed for specific chassis, and we realize that not all of our customers know what type of chassis they have–so here are some simple tips to follow. The first and easiest way is to look at the steering wheel on your motorhome–it will usually have the Ford logo, or say “Workhorse” “Spartan” or some other brand. If there is no label, your motorhome registration will have the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) that will tell us what chassis your coach rides on. We have information on Workhorse, Ford and Chevy chassis to draw from, and we’ve also found that vinquery.com is a great resource to determine what chassis you have. Simply enter the VIN number, and it will come back with basic information on your coach. The only time we run into problems is with Country Coach motorhomes, because the VIN number doesn’t tell you the type of chassis. With these coaches, we’ll usually advise the customer to take the coach to a shop that can find the suspension tag on the front ... read more

What’s Stopping You?

BRAKES. Although going the distance is great–stopping in time with the tremendous amount of inertia from the weight of your coach in motion–often around 22,000 pounds at 55 miles an hour–is critical. So, what’s stopping you? Consider an upgrade from stock rotors and pads! Charles O’Rourke–featured in the attached video– wanted to upgrade his rotors and pads while he was replacing his calipers, as it was an opportune time. “Henderson’s Line Up began using Performance Friction products in the early 90′s. With the recent brake recall, we wanted to offer our customers enhancement options to maximize their coach’s performance. We were delighted to find that Performance Friction offered a heavy duty, high performance disc-brake rotor to meet our customer’s needs,” said Robert Henderson, own ... read more

Customer Comment: Richard Sanders

After bringing my coach home Nov. 3 from all the install and recall with Workhorse, I have never had an enjoyable ride in my coach until now. The Safe-T-Steering Control was outstanding, it gave me full control when steering. The TruTrac bar along with Roadmaster Anti Sway Bar gave me full control when going around curves. When Robert took me out for a test drive to show me how dangerous the coach can be in a quick move, going around curves and up and down pavement–it opened my eye’s on what could happen. I was never pressured into buying anything. I have had some close calls before coming in for work to be performed at Henderson’s. I made the decision to put all important items I felt would give me a peace of mind and it did. Most facilities would not allow anyone in the work area. Henderson’s did. I not only learn some more about my coach but it was a pleasure to watch how they performed work being done. The mechanics were very professional and with my background (working on car’s ... read more
